Vibe Bar opened in 1995, and was one of the first bars in the Shoreditch & Brick Lane area. Originally the site was formerly the Truman Brewery and the partners at Vibe Alan Miller and Lee Dicker co-founded the creation of The Old Truman Brewery. Bringing in friends and those they respected from the music, art, film and business worlds to lay the foundations for something entirely new in London.
Since then, it has gone from strength to strength and The Vibe Bar has been the anchoring attraction throughout, always encouraging new talent and fresh ideas and blood and fusing the elements together – hence our logo and tag “Vibe: Culture, Content, Love, Life”
As part of East London’s regeneration Brick Lane has spearheaded the renaissance of E1; fanatical about cutting edge activity, Vibe Bar has always scheduled off the wall innovative work. Combining a rich mix of Performance, Live Music, DJs, Film, and AV technology, Vibe has created a platform for new talent from all areas of the creative arts in the Shoreditch / Brick Lane locality.
Vibe also hosts an outdoor live stage once a year as part of the Brick Lane Festival; held on the second Sunday of September, the Festival is now firmly established on the London calendar of events attracting over 50,000 people who come to enjoy the rich mix of culture, history, live music and food.
The Vibe Bar and our magical courtyard is a place where creativity blossoms and experiments are made. Where people fall in love and dance in a medlee of an eclectic mixture of people from around the world. We feel there’s nothing quite like it – and that’s mostly because of you. There’s nowhere that really blends all these elements with such an up for it audience. We love you for making it so special. X
